Crooked scan here as well, but oh well.
Sorry for the delay, but I wanted the picture to be really, really good before I posted it. And those are some delicious feet, amirite?
(Lotsa reference picturing for this one, but I'm pretty sure we all took some shortcuts on this challenge, eh?)
And honestly, I really don't have a foot fetish (but for the ones who have - You're welcome!).

I declare you a WINNAR.
Seriously, I'm astonished. This is a great picture. I have no further questions, your honour.
Hey.... Winner? :P You haven't seen mine or Iceyes yet. ^^
But god, this is a great picture. I'm not sure I like the aesthetic that much. But the artwork! It's just great.
The aesthetic? You mean cuz she's nekkid?
It looks grrreat ^^ You got the perspective really well, and as usual every line adds to the total of the picture. I'll agree with Nightflyer on the aesthetic, if she means what I think she means, namely that a piece of art may be amazingly well done but just doesn't hit that cord that yells "beautiful!", but that you're even at this level of critizism says a lot about how skilled you are.
Well, the feet were supposed to be the focus of the picture, so if the rest doesn't "yell beautiful", I don't really mind ^^ I just wanted to get it done.
I experimented a bit with a new form of shading, working more with solid, distinct areas, as you can see. I'm starting to like it more and more. :] Also, I tried to work with thicker lines (channeling a bit of Da-Ryun, perhaps) to try to bring focus to the shape and contours of the body - the whole picture is made with an 0.7 pencil.
And I'm still kinda confused on Madde's whole "aesthetic" thing...I'd really like for her to explain what she means, especially since she mentioned it on her comment on Rikard's picure as well.
(I'm CALLING YOU OUT, Madde! Whass wrong wit ma asthetics?)
I meant as in declaring him a winnar in general. Not "You win this challenge", more sort of "You win at life".
Other than that, I rest my case. This is a great picture. I don't really have any problem with it at all - I think this picture strikes me as beautiful.
It is beautiful, it's just the yelling part that is missing, but as I said, we're on lvl 10 critizism here.
I think your experimenting results in more of a manga-y feeling than the "graphic novel"-feeling you had before. Just an observation. I like the new shadows a lot though.
Well yeah, I used a "how to draw manga" thingy to find some inspiration for the hair, and the eye is a "manga eye" - or possibly a cartoon one...
I'm just curious about the aesthetic thing since it was something my picture was lacking and not Rikards. What's the difference?
I think Iceye summed it upp really well. I can't say exactly what I mean.
Hm, ok maybe like this... I will use this picture for education. I won't hang it up on my wall.
Did that make sense? -_-'
